About Us
Our Story
Amber Shoes is a non-profit, through the Visalia Education Foundation, which gives free school shoes to students who need them. 100% of all donations go directly to these free shoes. Amber Shoes was created by my parents in honor of their granddaughter, my daughter, Amber, who we lost in 1989 to leukemia. Amber adored shoes, and my parents created the non-profit in 2004 after being inspired by a movie, “The Christmas Shoes”. As a family of mostly educators, it has been a privilege to honor Amber in this special way to serve students.
